I found Peter's story on Australian Story and his books very interesting.
I am not a famer or land owner but I may buy a rural roperty north to n/east of Perth WA, as a bush retreat where I would like to encourage local flora and fauna, and attempt to rehabilitate any degraded land.
Could anyone respond to my following questions:
Do Peter's land rehabilitation/maintenance procedures help overcome water-repellant soil, or stop it happening?
I have heard that when organic material breaks down in the soil it coats sand particles making them, and therefore the soil, hydrophobic?
Do you see a place for soil-wetting agents in a broadacre situation eg farms, golf courses (where I have a particular interest), and homes?
Thank you for your response.
