I have quite recently been shown a large sheep yard on a property i was working on. according to the owner it had been completely overridden by catheads. It was so bad they simply couldn't use it. I was pretty surprised to hear that because what i was looking at was the young stud rams grazing on a dense green kikuyu stand.he told me that he just planted a no of runners and that was about it. Very impressive.

just reading thru this blog again i remembered that we have several large pieces of used silage wrap with which we covered infested areas- sheep yards and smaller break outs. I know black plastic has its disadvantages but it doesn't take many hot summer days to kill the plants and sterilize the seeds
