Gidday Duanne
I was wondering if it would be practical to have a NSF stall / display at the next Mudgee Small Farm Field Day?

Humidity

Gidday all I have been thinking that even though it doesn't rain much (especially at my place) but the humidity in the air is still there. Does anyone have a simple way of extracting this moisture from the air so that it can be fed to plants to keep them alive. I was thinking that if it can be a sma...

Land under change

Gidday all I was thinking the other day, that if 50,000 + books have been sold and only those people interested in this subject would buy it, and if only half actually did something on their property then there may be quiet a lot of countryside being improved. If those 25,000 people only had 1 acre ...

I have found that the people who make the discisions are not the ones who know anything about it. The people who don't get a look in.

Spreading the word

Gidday All Most times when I ask a pollie a question either through email or letter I generally mention Peter and his book, unfortunitly their staff filters most of the mail they recieve and much of it is file in the small round file at the end o the desk. When you do get an answer it is in pollie a...

Pollie Talk

Gidday Duane I have just read the link, I think it is great that Peter was at least able to talk to the pollies and give his advice. I hope they listern and start to make changes, however my personal experience with government is that it will go to several committees and if it upsets someone who may...

keyline farming and cracks in the ground

I have 2 patchs of dirt that have had no more that 5% covering of plant growth for at least 10 years. ...

Low rainfall

Gidday Kelly I live a little north of Mudgee which gets pretty good rainfall, however were I am appears to be in a rain shadow. I get 5mm up the road gets 20mm, such is life. I also am not a farmer, I live on 25 acres for the peace and quiet. Having said that I have been playing with this idea for a...

Okay I'm still thinking.
Are there some rules to forming a chapter, such as minimum number of people, fees, minutes, formal structure etc.
If there is would you supply the requirements and structure or some guidelines to kick start this idea.
Thanks, (I think)

Gidday Ruth I have been thinking about your problem and it seems pretty difficult without making the creek a little shollower. So he is the idea. Are you able to pull the sides of the creek down to fill the bottom to make it wider and shollower at that point. form a leaky dam so that over time with ...

NSF Chapter in mudgee/gulgong

I have a question? What benefits are there in estabilishing a NSF chapter in an area as against a bunch of people going down to the nearest pub and have a chinwag over a few beers?
